Cut, etched, shaped, patinated, and assembled from 24 gauge copper sheet. The copper sheet is cut with a plasma torch, filed, cleaned, brushed, and then the detail is etched into the surface. The butterfly is then shaped and patinated to give each a distinct appearance. Copper wire antenae are soldered on the back and a matte clear coat is then applied. 

  • PRODUCT INFO

    The copper butterfly is then mounted into a shadowbox hardwood frame with a mat board cut out of aluminum which is painted either warm white or soft black. The frame has a depth of 1 1/8". All pieces are protected with a matte clear coat.

    These are made to order and the patina will look similar but not exactly as the listing photo.


    Please note: Due to varying wood grain and coloring, frame finishes may be lighter or darker than in listing photos pictured. Metal tends to darken slightly with age even though clear coat has been applied. This is part of it's natural beauty. For indoor use only.
